Hello, world
I started out writing code. For several years I was a web developer, most recently as a Senior Software Engineer at Micepad, building event technology products.
In 2024 I moved into project management at Talentbank as the company's first IT PM. There was no engineering setup to inherit — no cloud infrastructure, no deployment pipeline, no development environment, no process. I built it from scratch, and today I lead a small team of designers and developers shipping products end to end.
Two things I'm proud of
Email was costing us five figures in RM for a single large-scale event, and only 20–30% of those messages reached the inbox. I migrated us to AWS SES with proper sender authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC): annual email spend now runs under RM2,000, with delivery above 95%.

Our events were still checking candidates in by hand — long queues, and staff pulled off other work to run clipboards at the door. Nobody asked me to fix it, so I built a QR code check-in system. Measured at peak arrival across several large events: under five minutes, consistently.
"Going from zero is less about technical difficulty than about making irreversible decisions with very little information, on a small budget, while requirements are still moving."
Coming from an engineering background helps — I can size up a technical trade-off myself instead of relaying it between stakeholders and the team.
